Trinity was approached by Mercer and Mercer Architects to work with their client to add the finishing layers on a family home they had thoughtfully designed to ‘waterfall’ down the gently sloping site that was surrounded by native bush alive with birdsong. Mercer and Mercer had designed and selected the interior finishes, a perfect base for us to add depth and richness that sat in harmony with the views seen from each room.
Our clients had an extensive art and object collection which needed to be considered when choosing fabrics, rugs, linen and cushions for each space. Furniture selected was a mix of European pieces as well as custom designed NZ made pieces, each with a touch of personality that reflected our clients unique aesthetic. This home is certainly not white walls and beige furniture. It’s vibrant but calming at the same time. It’s a work of art in its curated simplicity.
