Set high on Queenstown Hill overlooking Lake Wakatipu, this architecturally designed 1,417m² three-level residence was conceived to make the most of its spectacular alpine setting. The six-bedroom home includes a gym, sauna, bar, wine cellar and media room, with the layout thoughtfully arranged to provide separation between the generous master suite and guest accommodation wing.
Working with clients based overseas, our team delivered the interior design remotely, building a close and collaborative relationship throughout the project. From understanding the initial brief and developing the design concept through to material selections, furniture and final detailing, we worked closely with the clients and wider project team, providing the confidence and expertise to make complex design decisions from afar.
The grandeur of the surrounding landscape informed the interior, with a rich and sophisticated palette reflecting the distinctive colours and textures of Queenstown. Exquisite natural stones feature across generous surfaces throughout the home, balanced by contrasting timber finishes, oriental and grass-weave wall coverings, and tactile soft furnishings that introduce warmth and softness.
A considered combination of designer and bespoke furniture, crafted by local artisans, is paired with statement lighting to create a series of refined yet welcoming spaces. The result is a luxurious, highly layered interior that responds to its extraordinary setting while providing a sophisticated and comfortable home for both everyday living and entertaining.
